“ Really authentic Sichuan food , the flavors are bold and definitely not watered down. Everything tastes fresh and well seasoned, the kind of place where you can tell they know what they’re doing. The service is super friendly and easygoing, and they’re happy to help explain dishes or adjust spice levels. It’s also very family- and kid-friendly, which is a big plus. The atmosphere is relaxed, not stuffy at all, and it’s a comfortable place to bring kids. ”

“ We’ve been meaning to stop in and we finally did, as we’ve been hoping to find a good Chinese spot in the area - it was delicious!! Perfect for a winter day. We had the wonton soup, the lemon fish soup, mapo tofu, and tea. It really hit the spot, and the lemon fish soup was particularly amazing. Not only that but our waiter was so friendly and helpful. highly recommend!! We will be back!! :) ”

“ Strolled into aptly named Our New Place for the first time and was blown away. If you’re looking for your go-to Chinese spot, this is it. Ordered the chicken with cashews lunch special, which came with wonton soup and even a $5 beer (yes, really). The wonton soup was incredible—rich chicken broth and two hand-made-tasting wontons that could’ve come straight from grandma’s kitchen. Easily one of the best broths I’ve had anywhere. The chicken with cashews was perfect: tender pieces, balanced with crisp celery and water chestnuts, no filler, no chewy bits—just fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Service was excellent too—friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. Our New Place absolutely lives up to its name. Great food, great value, great vibe. ”

“ The food was amazing! My friend and I visited this restaurant for the first time, and everything exceeded our expectations—the atmosphere is beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly, and most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. As someone from Sichuan who has been living in New York for years, it’s been hard to find truly authentic Sichuan cuisine, but this place finally delivered. I felt right at home with every bite. We will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends and family with us! ”

“ Incredible selection to choose from. I followed what other reviewers said and got the Spicy Beef and scallion pancakes. I don’t think a Coke has ever tasted so crisp accompanying this meal! ”

- Schuyler Petti -

“ The service is amazing. The crispy pork wontons were so fresh and delicious and crispy, the chicken fried rice hits the spot as a classic fried rice, the sautéed green beans burst with flavor and the general tso chicken is crispy, sweet, spicy and all comes out hot and delicious. So glad we found this spot. ”
